Code of Conduct
Agreement
Attendees and speakers at Valencia.rb are required to accept the following code of conduct. We expect the collaboration of everyone to create a safe environment for all. Through this code of conduct, we aim to ensure that Valencia.rb is a respectful experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, socio-economic status, religion, or beliefs.
Expected Positive Behavior
We invite those participating in the event to help us create safe and positive experiences for everyone.
- Use friendly and inclusive language.
- Respect different viewpoints and experiences.
- Show empathy towards others.
- Refrain from derogatory, discriminatory, or abusive language or behavior.
- Be aware of your surroundings and other participants. If someone observes a dangerous situation, compromising conduct, or violations of this Code of Conduct, even if they seem minor, they should notify the organizers.
Unacceptable Behavior
Harassment includes (but is not limited to):
- Intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or degrading conduct.
- Offensive verbal or written comments related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, age, religion, political opinions, or technological choices.
- Inappropriate use of language and/or images of a sexual or offensive nature.
- Deliberate intimidation, harassment, or stalking.
- Taking photos or recording without consent.
- Sustained disruption of conversations or other events.
Consequences of Violating the Code of Conduct
Those who violate these rules may be expelled from the event.
